About TCGs

Is this your first time playing a TCG? Then read the sections below ^-^ If not, you can scroll down to read about this particular TCG.

What is a TCG?

A TCG, or Trading Card Game, is a game where you collect cards and trade them with other members. Remember Pokemon cards? This is similar, but instead, it is free and online! There are many fun and interesting ways to earn cards, like games, trading and contests.

How do I Play?

Simple! You just need two things:
1) A trade post. This is basically a website where you post your cards. You can use a free site, like Freewebs, or you can get hosted. If you want to get hosted, try Clavis-sama. You need a website to post your cards and record how you received them. An example of a trade post is mine.
2) A working email address. This way, you can earn cards through contests, collect level up and mastery rewards, and trade with other members ^-^

About Mata Ashita!

This is an important section to read. This is where you'll find information on this TCG, such as how to level up, card worth, ect.

Mata Ashita!...?

Mata Ashita! is a song sung by all the members of the Host Club (except Haruhi). It's probably my favorite Ouran song, and I thought it would be a perfect name for the TCG. When the final DVD of Ouran was released in Japan, there was an extra set of credits that played Mata Ashita! instead of Shissou.

Levels

Levels determine how far you are in the TCG. Some TCGs determine level by card count. Here at Mata Ashita!, we determine level by card worth. For example, if you have 5 normal cards worth one, and 3 special cards worth two, your card worth is 11. Make sense? You can use a badge to display your current level on your trade post ^-^

Every time you level up, you will earn one choice card, two random cards, and one random special. Awesome, no?

Mastering

Once you've collected all the cards in a certain deck, you've mastered it! Congratulations! Now I will try to explain the rewards for mastering certain decks.

Earning Cards

There are various ways to earn cards. The easiest and most common way to get cards is through a trade. To trade, simply ask a member if they would like to trade cards. Be sure to tell them which card you are willing to give, and which of their cards you would like. Also, be polite! I shouldn't have to say that, but I will anyway.

Another way to earn games, and this way is the fastest, is to play games. You will get different cards depending on the difficulty of the game.

Contests are another fun way to earn cards. However, this is also the hardest way to earn cards. You will be competeing with fellow members in a certain category in order to earn cards. Contests can be graphic related, art or writing related. The rewards for contests will be greater than games, but harder to obtain.
